Building With Purpose

Pillars Building Group was founded on a simple belief: building a home is more than a construction project. It is an act of stewardship.
A home shapes how families live, gather, grow, and rest. It should be built with intention, integrity, and long-term responsibility, not shortcuts or minimum standards. For us, building is not simply a trade or career. It is a calling rooted in craftsmanship, service, and trust. We intentionally limit the number of projects we take each year so every client receives direct involvement, thoughtful planning, and disciplined execution from start to finish. Our goal is not volume. Our goal is lasting quality and relationships built on confidence.
A Personal Beginning

The foundation of Pillars Building Group began long before the company itself. As a young patrol officer, my wife and I hired a builder to build our own home. What should have been an exciting milestone became a difficult and costly experience. Construction defects, poor accountability, and broken trust ultimately led to a lawsuit against the builder. Despite having a well-documented case, we were forced to settle simply because we could not afford to continue fighting. That experience changed how I viewed this industry.

I saw firsthand how vulnerable homeowners can be when they place their trust in a contractor. Later, after Hurricane Florence, I witnessed families already dealing with loss being taken advantage of by insurance systems, unreliable contractors, and substandard work. Victims were being victimized again. After a life of working in the skilled trades, this was when I decided to become a full time builder.

I knew there had to be a better way to build and to serve. Pillars Building Group was created to be the kind of builder I wish we had, one who advocates for the client, communicates honestly, and treats every project as a responsibility, not just a transaction.
Leadership Built Through Service

Before construction became my full-time focus, I served in both the United States Marine Corps and in law enforcement. Those experiences shaped the way I approach building today. The military and law enforcement taught me discipline, leadership, accountability, and systems-based thinking. Decisions carried real consequences, and preparation mattered. Planning reduced risk. Clear communication prevented failure. Responsibility was never optional.

Those same principles now guide how we manage projects:
-
Structured planning instead of guesswork
-
Clear expectations instead of confusion
-
Accountability at every stage
-
Leadership through service

Construction is complex, involving budgets, safety, engineering, schedules, and people’s homes and livelihoods. My background trained me to operate in environments where details matter and trust must be earned daily.
The Pillars Philosophy

The name Pillars represents the belief that strong lives and strong homes are built on strong foundations. The Pillars concept centers around core values that guide both family life and professional work: Craftsmanship. Discipline. Integrity. Stewardship.
These values influence how we build, how we communicate, and how we serve clients.

Stewardship means recognizing that every project represents someone’s investment, future, and daily life. We treat that responsibility seriously by prioritizing durability, performance, and thoughtful design over shortcuts or trends.

This philosophy also extends beyond construction. Pillars Building Group supports the broader vision of the Pillars Life Skills Academy, a nonprofit initiative focused on mentoring and equipping future generations with practical life skills, leadership principles, and strong personal foundations. Building homes and building people come from the same mission: creating something lasting that serves others and that invest into the future generations of our nation and community.
Building for Performance, Comfort, and Longevity

We believe homes should do more than meet minimum code requirements. They should perform. Our approach emphasizes building science principles that improve comfort, durability, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality. A well-built home is quieter, healthier, more efficient, and more resilient over time. These decisions are not upgrades for the sake of technology. They are long-term investments in how a home lives and endures for decades. We aim to build homes that age well, operate efficiently, and provide confidence long after construction is complete.
A Family Business

Pillars Building Group is, at its core, a family-driven business built on faith, responsibility, and purpose.
As a husband and father, I understand that a home is not just a structure. It is where life happens. That perspective shapes how we treat every client relationship. We approach projects with empathy, transparency, and respect for the trust placed in us.
Our clients are not numbers on a schedule. They are families entrusting us with something deeply personal.

Our Commitment

We exist to serve clients who value thoughtful design, honest communication, and craftsmanship that stands the test of time.
If you are looking for the lowest bid or the fastest build, we may not be the right fit. But if you are looking for a builder who approaches construction as a responsibility, advocates for your interests, and builds with purpose and long-term vision, we would be honored to work with you.
